Kingston Community News The Port Gamble General store will open under new management at the beginning of March. The Molina family is giving up its lease on the store after three years. New tenants Kim Campbell and Erik Kleiva have big plans for the historical building:

After three years running the store, Ethel and Eduardo Molina are giving up their lease on the building citing slow business. Olympic Property Group, which owns and manages the former mill town, has already found new tenants and the General Store is expected to reopen in early March.

Kingston Community News Only three Kitsap County creeks showed rising pollution levels this year, according to a recently released water report. But all three of those streams are in North Kitsap, including Port Gamble Creek.

POULSBO — Despite a county-wide trend of less pollution, Little Scandia Creek gained the dubious distinction last year of becoming the fifth Kitsap stream so polluted the health district warned people not to touch the water.

The Kitsap County Sheriff's office released a photograph of the suspect in Monday's robbery at the Kingston Bank of America and investigators are asking the public's help in identifying him.

The group wants to thank local officers for their service and honor the five Western Washington officers slain in recent shootings.

Kingston Community News Sorry for the delay between posts. We have an update on the bank robbery story. The suspect is still at large. A bomb squad has removed an "apparent explosive device" from the bank but investigators haven't decided whether it is a bomb or not. Look for an update tomorrow.

I guess we don't get the coverage on the news that other bank robbery's get. Thank God. But this is not the first time we have had a bank robbery. I hope they find the perp.
