Pebble in the Pond is inviting people who care about green economy initiatives, local agriculture, and the 'new economy' to join us on Friday, November 13th to have a discussion with Scott Brison, MP, who... is the Chair of the Leader's Advisory Committee on Economic Strategyfor the Official Opposition in the House of Commons in Ottawa.

"It is rare that we have a chance to speak directly to national decisionmakers about creating laws that can help us boost our local economy andchange the strategy for economic development. Powell River is at theleading edge of local food economics, green economics, and local business development and we have a chance to speak out. We'dlike to see a strong showing to make sure our voices are heard. We ask that you come to the forum with a concise list of ideas, or one idea, that you can raise in the discussion. No speeches please because timeis limited. At the end of the discussion Mr. Brison will make statements to provide feedback and let us know how he will follow up onour ideas." For more information and RSVP , please give me a call at 604-483-8987.

Name of the group to be “Transition Town Powell River” rather than “Transition Powell River”. This was felt to make it easier to distinguish us from women’s transition/shelter groups, while still keeping the Transition Initiative brand.
