To my old schoolmates:
Some of the songs here are based on the kids I knew growing up. I always hoped to share this material with old friends...
"Sean, We Were Uncool" is an ode to growing up as a nerd. It fondly recalls a few people from grade school, including Ryan, who was the was the original drummer for Pro Audio for a few years. Oh, and science teacher Mr. Casey, who used to get so furious sometimes, we could hear him yelling from the basketball courts.
"She Likes Girls" recalls my last high school girlfriend, who I heard through the grapevine came out of the closet shortly after I graduated. Also referenced in this song is a girl who I had a crush on in 5th grade. I bought a ten-speed bike to impress her...
"Dirty Rat" -- I heard a tragic story in college about the death of a guy who I had sat next to in high school art class. It inspired the last verse.
