Professional Engineers of North Carolina (PENC) is a professional association of over 1500 individuals including Professional Engineers, engineering interns, engineering graduates, and engineering students in nine local chapters and five university engineering programs. PENC is a state society of the National Society of Professional Engineers. Members represent all technical disciplines and all practice areas including construction, education, industry, government, and private practice.
Mission:
Our mission is to promote ethical, competent, and licensed engineering and to enhance the professional, social, and economic well-being of our members.

We accomplish our mission by offering professional development and networking opportunities, providing access to pertinent information, participating in legislative advocacy, and supporting engineering education in our communities.
