Project CHILD Would you rather have 15 children in a class and make a smaller salary or 30 students with a larger salary? Curious minds want to know!

I don't think large classes are good for the children, especially at the primary level. I don't think I could feel comfortable getting paid more knowing that it's not in the best interest of the kids. So I'll take a smaller class and less money and cross my fingers that all the parents give me gift certificates to the Lakeshore Learning Store for Christmas!

Project CHILD Check out this article about the benefits of looping. We have known this for years!!

Why should school be just a series of shipboard romances? It is a crass question -- but one that is entirely appropriate, and posed recently, believe it or not, by an educator. He was addressing the conundrum ...
Project CHILD

Project CHILD We are working on creating video clips answering common questions teachers have about CHILD. Example: How do you use students as leaders in your classroom? Passport checkers, Teacher of The Day, etc. Would appreciate input on other common questions we could video!!

Get one binder per teacher in your cluster and a set of dividers A-Z for each as well. Beginning of school have all parents fill out Important Student Information Form that you create (if you want mine I will email it to you). Here's the good part - make copies of all of your homeroom student information forms for the other 2 teachers in you ... Read Morecluster. All 3 class sets of information are then files by first letter of first name (well that is easiest for me as I can find phone numbers or info faster) behind the appropriate A-Z tabs. Place a blank sheet of notebook paper or communication log behind each one to note date, time and reason for communication. Should you need to contact a parent of ANY of your students you now have all of the info in one notebook at your fingertips. We try to make parent contact both positive and negative ASAP so that an incident or moment that needs to be celebrated is done and not forgotten at the end of the day.
