Joshua Whitgob We use biodiesel in our 1995 Mercedes E300! It's not too far of a drive to the Propel pump in Citrus Heights, but I wish one of the stations here in El Dorado Hills had a pump! The Shell put in E85, but no biodiesel?!! Thanks for the good fuel Propel!

Propel Fuels A study released by the University of Nebraska found that E85 delivers more efficiency over higher petroleum fuel blends, offsetting much of the loss in Miles Per Gallon (MPG) typically attributed to E85. This difference in MPG is compensated by the lower price of E85 blends at the pump that are on average 20-30% less than regular unleaded. Currently, Propel E85 is almost 60 cents cheaper than regular gasoline

Hello,
I happened upon your "Awake at the Wheel" blog and noticed the 1984 Toyota pick-up converted to run on E85 that you posted about.
I'm an engine ECU tuner at a performance shop in Hayward, CA. I converted my personal 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution to run on E85 last year when Pearson fuels opened up a E85 station... in Concord, and more recently, in Hayward. I run E85 24/7 and have visited some of your Propel stations while going to/from Tahoe in the winter.
Performance enthusiasts have embraced E85 for it's high octane and cooling capabilites, and of course, it's low price. I've converted and "re-tuned" ECU's for about twenty Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions so far this year. Most of them are for street use and "daily-drivers" for their owners. Some of them are used for motorsport activities as E85 is a perfect fuel for this use, where before high-priced and highly toxic leaded race fuel was used.
