BYU Visual Arts Department
Opening Reception: Friday, October 23
This exhibit showcases the work and legacy of recently retired BYU Visual Arts Professor Hagen Halter, along with 8 of 9 former students (all working artists) from an intensive drawing class with him in 1982 (25 years ago).
In putting together plans for the upcoming year in 2008, ...members of the Art, Belief, & Meaning committee decided to honor Hagen by putting together a "legacy" exhibit. A catalog is also currently under production featuring the work of all participants along with commentary by James Swenson (Curator) and other information obtained by a number of Art history students who researched and interviewed the artists. The catalog was designed by Graphic Design student Collin Pinegar.

This year the art is on a grid on the floor, and not inside a vending machine. No long lines!
The grid is similar to being inside the movie "Tron", only you can b...uy artwork from it.
Students, faculty, and staff—donate your art, in any media, to B-315 in the HFAC from 9am-5pm from October 12-14. Size of the artwork may not exceed 1ft x 1ft.
