PsychoAcoustic Jazz Orchestra
The PsychoAcoustic Orchestra is a 13-piece eclectic modern jazz ensemble. We play music that is vibrant and exciting, spanning the styles of rock, latin, funk, jazz and blues. We are not the typical big band. This is a great, professional, world-class, artistic musical experience. We invite you to come hear us and shar...e in the musical excitement.
This band has existed since the early 90s (we recorded 2 CDs then) and each of the musicians is excellent in his own right. This is a very strong band. We have been reorganized for about a year after taking time off and would like for the public to re-embrace our music. The Sunday hours at the Wisp are early enough to get back home on a work night.
All of the band members are great soloists and improvisors and have played in many professional situations. They are all open-minded musicians.

On Dec. 7 we'll be playing some of our unique Christmas arrangements that will enhance your interface into the holiday spirit.
In addition to our regular band members we welcome two outstanding trombonists: Jaime Morales and Marc Fields. Jaime is an orchestral conductor and Miami U. faculty member and a noted salsa musician. You will be amazed by his virtuosity and energy. Marc is well known in the Cincinnati area as a CCM jazz faculty member, composer and band leader, and also as an alumnus of the Ray Charles Orchestra where he spent six years. Marc is also an alumnus of the PAO who made great contributions on our "Reactivation" CD. Our other esteemed guest that evening is Kevin Moore who will fill in for Gary Winters on lead trumpet. Kevin is a member of the Blue Wisp Big Band and a first call trumpet for all of the professional shows that come through Cincinnati.

PsychoAcoustic Jazz Orchestra We play starting at 7pm until 9:30 on this night. Following our performance is an after concert party where, allegedly, members of the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra will come to jam with the CCM jazz faculty.
