so your convenience remains... Right now a worker gets paid 45
cents for a bushel of tomatoes, about 32 pounds. So they would
have to pick 515 lbs before they made an hour's worth of minimum wage. The C...iW is asking Publix to pay a penny more a pound, something that Burger King, McDonald's, Whole Foods, Taco Bell, and many other corporations have agreed to do. Rachel May I work in the deli at Publix. Our subs are so much better because we use fresh meat daily. Ww slice all our kits in the store for the subs, unlike Subway who uses frozen pre-sliced meat.
