82 WSU Students and 10 student groups TOOK ACTION on Make A Difference Day!
On Saturday, October 24th, the WSU community came together to accomplish several tasks throughout Pullman, Moscow, and beyond. The WSU Pre-Health Club and Beta Alpha Psi enjoyed the brisk morning air while winterizing the Palouse Clearwater Envi...ronmental Institute’s Moscow Community Garden and Nature Center. GIVE, AWSU, and the Crimson Girls relished in the fall season and gave seniors in the Pullman community a helping hand by raking and bagging leaves. Honor’s and McCroskey Residence Halls created a spooky and fun experience for guests at the Haunted Palouse - all the proceeds went to the Palouse Community Center, Palouse Arts Council, Palouse Lions Club, Playground Fund, Roy Chatters Newspaper & Printing Museum, and the Palouse Chamber. Other projects were held at Early Learning Services; Palouse Discovery Science Center; Palouse Conservation District; Montessori School Rummage Sale; and Orphan Acres. A BIG thanks to all the student groups who participated including ACACIA fraternity; Delta Tau Delta fraternity; and Streit-Perham Residence Halls – because of your commitment and effort, we made a difference in our community.

WSU Center for Civic Engagement The CCE has started up a new one-time service project! Make a difference in a child's life by tutoring at Jennings Elementary in Colfax from 2:15 to 4:15 every Thursday. Transportation will be provided by the CCE. Sign up for this one-time service project on SLPro before this opportunity fills up!

Created by USA WEEKEND Magazine, Make a Difference Day... is an annual event that takes place on the fourth Saturday of every October."
