Turbo the Penguin is back in the colony! Woo-hoo!

Gigi Halloran Turbo, I am honored to be a Friend; happy travels

Mary Metz Hey Turbo, First time viewer, first time caller... I'm catching up on your page and while I wish we could be *friends* rather than this hierarchical "fan" business I want to thank you for posting the Andes video. It was fascinating. XOXOX ps. Thanks to Dr. Boersma for fixing us up.

Turbo the Penguin is pretty sure Sandy is the second most brilliant penguin ever.

When Sandy started her search for a mate, Peter must have looked quite a catch: almost 6ft, no beak but an impressive moustache, fluent guttural German rather than an irritating high-pitched squawk. Put him in a tux, she must have thought, and he would do — a man to lay eggs with.

Turbo the Penguin is currently out at sea. Toodles.

Turbo the Penguin flipper-patted Bridget, one of this season's volunteers, out in the field. Lucky girl!

Turbo the Penguin is watching other penguins mate and lay eggs. Reproductive success is so overrated.

Turbo the Penguin is super happy to break 200 for number of fans! (But he's still greedy for more. Tell your friends to become a fan!)

Turbo the Penguin is back at Tombo and FAT. Bring it on, Thermo!

Turbo the Penguin thinks penguins that nest in the rainforest are crazy! Everyone knows penguins nest in the DESERT!

Fascinating footage of mountaineering penguins in the Andes trying to search for a safe mountain nesting ground. Also featuring weird and wonderful animals such as the Andes possum, the littlest deer in the world known as the pudu, and the tiniest wild cat in existence - the cod cod. ...

Turbo the Penguin is excited to meet this season's field crew. They flew down from Seattle on Sep. 16 and should be on their way to Punta Tombo RIGHT NOW. And with the field crew comes... the beloved TRUCK!

Turbo the Penguin read the following: "A rare Fiordland crested penguin has started making human friends at Dunedin's Penguin Place hospital" and wondered, "What other kinds of friends are there?"

Turbo the Penguin does not like it when penguins can't find food!

Scientists say Phillip Island's penguins are hatching smaller chicks, as changing weather conditions caused by climate change disrupt their normal feeding patterns.
