The Purity Miss Martha’s Ice Cream Crankin’ Contest is celebrating its 24th year of pleasing ice cream fanatics and supporting the Martha O’Bryan Center, a nonprofit that provides integrated services to families in the James A. Cayce Homes and surrounding East Nashville neighborhood. Local celebrities and notables will... judge the homemade ice cream contest, with the winning flavor becoming an official Purity Premium Ice Cream and its creator winning two Southwest Airline tickets. The event will feature live music by Bone Therapy, Pat McLaughlin, Jonell Mosser, Chris Eddy and Bob Britt. An early evening concert featuring Ashley Cleveland will begin at 6 on the grounds.
Admission grants attendees access to an all-you-can-eat ice cream fair with all proceeds benefiting the Martha O’Bryan Center. Admission for children under 2 is free; children between 2 and 12 is $5 pre-event ($7 day of) and those 13 and up are $10 pre-event ($13 day of). All entertainment is included in the price of the ticket.
