Purity Mineral Makeup

I have never been one to wear a lot of makeup, for several reasons one being, I never really knew how to put it correctly, in the first palce! I had no clue how to blend, etc.. but mostly because of how it feels when I had it on...(Keep in mind I was raised in a very strict Pentacostal family, my dad was a Pentacostal Preacher and makeup was NOT allowed. Enough said!

So anyway now an adult, I came across Purity Mineral Makeup and their free 21 day trial and thought I would give it a shot and see what happens, I figured, the worst that could happen was I would be out the $8.95 s/h if it didn't work for me like the commercials or their website stated.

So, I got my trial package in the mail and looked at the kit which contained 3 brushes, different sized, 1 makeup bag and 4 "tiny" (I have since learned less is more, so tiny wasn't as tiny as I thought! :-) containers of makeup.(the 4 containers are as follows, this is in the Light Kit...1Mineral Finishing Powder, 1 Mineral Glow, 1 Mineral Foundation-Cream, 1 Mineral Foundation- Buff I chose the "Light starter kit" since I really am new at the whole makeup thing and unsure of what I SHOULD order.You get2 different shades od foundation, you can use them alone or mix them a little bit at a time to blend them to get a tone more close to what your skin looks like. Anyway, as I was saying, I have uneven skin tones, and whenever I do use any kind of makeup I always needed a concealer first to help hide marks on my face, left from chicken pox, acne, the sun, and age. and though the concealer did a fair job for the most part, the spots would still be there to some extent.

Now remember, if you are like me, and have tried to conceal spots on your face, you tend to have a thicker area of makeup on that area, which ultimately shows through at some point of the day.

OK...so, as you can tell I have had my doings with makeup, mostly not good and I pretty much ready to just give up and not worry about what others think of me. (easier said than done!)

Sooo when I came across Purity Mineral Makeup a few things of importance caught my attention.

The first was a statement on there website: " Purity is made from 100 % natural minerals with absolutely no chemical fillers. As you wear Purity Mineral Makeup it mixes with the oils of your skin so it adjusts giving you perfect natural looking skin"

Well, that sounded great! I really like the 100% natural minerals, as opposed to chmicals!

I was impressed with how the website was set up, to help you chose what is best for your skin color, with both a before and after picture. They have tons of information there for your use, such as "application tips" "color advisor" etc.

Well, the skeptic I am when it comes to makeup for myself, just had to give this a try, to see if it truely was as good and as easy to use as it states, and if it really worked well... not just at the moment you put it on, but throughout the day.

Well..... here are my results:
The once and no FORMER skeptic, is a very happy customer, who highly recommends giving it a try. You will need to be a bit patient the first time or two using it, as you learn the simple but vey basic application tips, as you learn how to blend the colors just a tiny bit to get you perfect blend, and learning how to be patient! A vey important step in applying Pruity Mineral Makeup is to apply a very light coat, and wait far a second, allow it to warm to your skin....before adding another layer, as several light layers are far better than one thick layer!

The first time I used it, I was still a bit skepitcal, espesically when I looked in my bathroom mirror, which is more lighted... I thought I still looked pale, and blothcy. I figured ok, I'm still trying to figure this out, so I guess I need more work. Well, the funny thing was that on my way back to my desk where I have my lighted mirror and makeup, I was interuppted by the doorbell. After about 15 minutes, I was finanlly able to get back to what I was doind. I sat down in my chair and looked at my face to get an idea of where I needed to focus to make things look better. Much to my surprise, my face looked great! So I though, wrong mirror, go to the big one with more light... and again, I was stumped! Everything was evened out, my skin tone looked very natual and healty, not a face covered in a ton of makeup!!!

That little doorbell distraction gave the makeup on my face a second to adjust to the natural oils in my skin and adjust itself to give a very even, fresh and NATURAL appearance. It's great to be able to wear this makeup and yet not feel like you have anything on!!

Here I was, not "ugly", not "plain" just an average mom of 4, coaches soccer, pediatric nurse, mom of a college recent graduate, a 17 year old son, who truely contributes to those little white hairs trying to pop up, an 11 year daughter with Aspergers Syndrome requiring high maintanance, but I would not trade anything for her, and an 8 year old daughter who is a sweetie, through and through, excpt when she thinks mom isn't looking! LOL Anyway, I live a very busy, hectic life, and makeup really wasn't part of it, considering the time it took to put it on and so on....
Purity has really made that not an excuse anymore. It is simple and fast to use, and it does last all day!!!

Here I am the girl who wore little to no makeup nor a real clue on how to wear/apply it, am sitting her giving you my story and highly recommending it to anyone that has ever been in that same boat with me...You won't regret it, it is easy to use, It really does look natural and not all "made up" It leaves a very clean, fresh, look and feel to you face.
