LocationExchange launches 'Q-Spheres™' or 'real life locations for 3D' Q-Spheres™ is a virtualisation of any location in the world for use in 3D.
No computer can - at this time - recreate a location in a photorealistic way. It just doesn't look right – the incidences of light, weather, materials are so huge that synthetic locations always look wrong.
That is why we have developed Q-Spheres™, a sampling of a 'real life location' for use in 3D : http://www.q-spheres.com.
The idea is very simple: Q-Spheres.com offers an online location scouting database of 'real life shoot-ready locations' gathered by location professionals all over the world.
Photographers, 3D houses, product designers choose a location and our Q-Spheres™ teams deliver high end backgrounds and HDR lightfields after a couple of days, no matter where the location is situated.
The backgrounds come in a set of high resolution images from slightly different angles, with different stops and in different lighting conditions. A 'lightfield' is an HDR capture of the lighting conditions. The combination of these two elements will give the 3D artists the possibilities to create photorealistic images.
...but there is more: together with backgrounds and lightfields, the Q-Sphere™ is composed of 9 other features to give 3D designers the maximum possibilities for integration in popular 3D programs : in-image 3D target, SLR information, a 2nd lightfield for immersive measuring, location paperwork, etc…
- The Q-Sphere™ from a location out of the online database is delivered for a fixed price including usage rights for 1 product for all media for the entire world.
