sure is im off up the cape this coming june for 4 -5 weeks cant wait

we live on dirt roads in the gladstone shire we have both a 4wd & a commodore i know which one we drive on the corrugated roads, but just go for a drive on the hway in wet weather & check out the city 4wd's that have never been off the bitumen someone needs to explain to these idiots just cause ya got a 4wd doesn't mean you don't have to drive to the conditions of the road

Also enforce the law on cars which have thier steros up too loud.

yeah i`ll second that one timothy there is no need to have their steros up that loud that the person next to them can hear it even with the windows up

firstly its good to see a group for people who actually use there 4x4's for four wheel driving, rather than just driving around the city, personally i would like to see a ban on 4x4's in the metropolitan areas, for all you soccer mums who think that the big four wheel drive is so safe to have your kids in, yet if you have brains enough check the ... if you own a 4x4 and use if for its intended purpose thats great more power to you but for the people who buy them just so they can mount the kerb for that parking space at the local shopping center, grow up pull your head in and drive a normal human size car

I think there needs to be a balance. It'd be wrong to ban all 4 wheel driving on beaches, forests etc, but we also need to make allowances for protecting the environment where necessary. But this needs to be decided rationally and scientifically not emotionally. btw, I agree with Ron above, if your 4 wheel drive DOESN'T get taken off road ever, sell the bloody thing and get a "car"!

I don’t think it’s that hard to set up an e-petition. Re politicians David Gibson MLA for Gympie would probably be interested since he was involved in the petition to stop Hook point on Fraser Island being closed off as I recall.
Fiona Simpson would probably do it for you too since she clearly stated that the e – petition against 4 wheel drives wasn’t her idea however as opposition spokesperson for transport she rightly believed she had a duty to present it.
