Quilt Scene was a nicely produced magazine, but the content wasn't quite what I'd thought (or hoped) it would be.

For my taste, the content was heavy on projects and a bit thin on coverage of the quilts at past or present shows. Yes, increasing the show content may be a tall order for the first edition of a magazine, and it may not be consistent ... See Morewith what readers will purchase or advertisers will buy ads in. The magazine did include some interesting anecdotes and information about the top award winners.

Still, plenty of magazines include projects. It's the coverage of past or present show exhibits which would have differentiated this magazine from others. I felt as though I'd stumbled across an IQF-flavored edition of Quilting Arts Gifts. While not necessarily a bad thing, it wasn't what I'd hoped for.

OMGoodness....I made the blog! You can find a pic of me wearing the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative rucksack. Loved meeting Pokey and thanks to her for signing our quilt for auction AND our purple patch project! Thanks too, for an awesome blog post. Was such great fun being there even if I was working most of the time. It was for an awesome cause! AAQI Rocks, we raised over $45,000 at festival!
