Why do we think the man is on the verge of his 4th???Because NASCAR wants him to be? That is no champion running in the back like that. A champion is the one that runs hard every week, every race track etc.....not sand bag.

Hey Darryl, I was a little mad when I wrote the first comment....Sorry! So ......SPRINT CARS TACKLE TALLADEGA??Oh Whatever. That race was a joke. NASCAR new rule an hour before the race? Jimmie Johnson cowarding in the back of the pack because...Oh Chad, I'm scared!!! I don't want to be up front!!! Oh Pleez, just give him the championship and lets move on to 2010. Same sentiment but stand corrected on the type of car.

Some of you people are funny. JJ played it smart! Who cares if he was hanging in the back all day? If it weren't for Newman's wreck he would have been bitten by doing that. He was like 25th or so before that Newman wreck. Also, I was at the race and it wasn't boring. Sure, the single file thing wasn't exciting but they still had 58 lead changes ... Read Moreamong 25 drivers! On top of that what do you think happens at 90% of the other tracks 90% of the time? It was a good race, although I wish they were allowed to bump draft in the turns, that way 2 cars could have hooked up and stole the win away like we saw in the spring.

Didn't know that about the Camaro. But it would still be great to see it perform in the Nationwide series. I remember seeing them race against the TA Challengers and Mustangs on the road racing circuits in the early 70's.
