Who: Return to Roots has partnered with Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion Festival, which is providing all guests with a Friday evening Festival pass.
What: Fundraising event that includes a heavy hors d’oeuvres reception with an open bar, live music, dessert and coffee.
When: 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2009, to celebrate original launch of program by Governor Tim Kaine and the Virginia Tobacco Commission.
Where: Historic Bristol Trainstation, Bristol, Virginia
Why: To raise funds towards a $50,000 matching grant for continued operations and marketing of the Return to Roots region to a database of more than 50,000 people who have in some way been touched by Southwest Virginia and those interested worldwide.
Who is invited: Governor Tim Kaine, Lt. Governor Bill Bolling, Senators Jim Webb and Mark Warner, Congressman Rick Boucher, State and Local Elected Officials, State Gubernatorial, Lt. Governor and Attorney General Candidates as well as SWVA business men & women.
