Drs. Norman & Gilda Greenberg
One of the traits of good collectors is that they know a lot about their areas of interest. There is passion in their voice when they talk and they are always seeking out new information concerning their collection. This is certainly true of Norman and Gilda Greenberg. Both hold doctoral de...grees (in anthropology and psychology respectively), and they have made it a mission in their lives to build a collection of Native American art. To talk with them is to be opened up to an entire history of how they came to be collectors, their earlier life on a New Mexico Navajo reservation, and what this work means to them. The first installment of their gifts is showcased in Recent Gifts of Native American Art from the Collection of Drs. Norman and Gilda Greenberg (October 22 – December 19) . The Greenbergs will be donating work on a continuing basis and this will grow our collection of Native American art. We are most grateful for their support.
Time:6:00PM Thursday, December 3rd
Location:2nd floor, Talley Student Center, 2610 Cates Ave, Raleigh, NC 27695

After
three years of heated competition the Gregg Museum of Art & Design
finally won the NCSU Student Centers' door decorating contest! We
showed our support for the "Terminate the Terrapins" Homecoming theme
by making our door into a PACKman machine. And NCSU actually won the
football game!! Must have been because they were inspired by our
door....
