Asheville Fire Department and AB Tech Community College are hosting Near-Miss workshops (4 hours) and Train-the-Trainer courses (8 hours) based on the National Fire Fighter Near-Miss Reporting System. These courses are free but seats are limited...
NC OSFM Check out the Fireworks Pyrotechnics photos taken during a class hosted by Caldwell Community College. They show proper & improper ways that operators set up displays when preparing for fireworks shows. Starting 2/1/2010, new legislation will require operators to have state permits. OSFM has been charged by the legislature to develop the permitting process for pyrotechnic operators.
