Bob Lauck

Bob Lauck Hi everyone! I noticed this page and thought I would ask how running is in Raleigh. We are hoping to move there this year from Houston and I am very interested in running groups, etc...especially those that run marathons. I have done numerous marathons (slowly!!) and am an asst coach for a USAFit group (and the Hous...ton marathon is this weekend!). But I do my long runs using 5/1's now, though I have never trained with a Galloway group. We are looking to get a house on the north side. Any comments, advice, etc??? Thanks!

Bob, our Galloway group is large and growing. We've got numerous pace groups to choose from (the 9:30 group, which I run with, does five and ones). Our kickoff is May 22 at the NC Museum of Art. Come on out if you will be here at that time. Watch our Website (www.raleighgalloway.com) for news as we draw closer to the date.

Thanks! If I am visiting then (I suspect we won't have a house by then yet!), I may stop by!

Please do. Otherwise, watch our Website once the season is underway. We always list the next few Saturday runs on the main page. When you're available, come on out and join us. You'll be most welcome.

Susan Yuh Gregory Mytle Beach marathon, are you going? If so, where are you staying?

I need recommendations on somewhere AWAY from the party scene (family is going with) but somewhere not too far either.

A couple of years ago, I stayed at the La Quinta, 1561 21st Ave N, about 0.4 mile from the start. $79.00/night.
