Something Borrowed, Something Blue We don't obsess over much. Ok. That's a lie. We obsess over EVERYTHING. Our current obsession is our new favorite wedding photographer who shot our recent Moroccan-ish, Jewish-ish, African-American-ish, French-ish, Southern-ish wedding. www.charophoto.com

Something Borrowed, Something Blue The best man was "just in case" the groom needed to kidnap the bride? And he was supposed to be the "best" one with a sword? Wow.

If the throngs of crazed customers clutching registry printouts at the Crate and Barrel are any indication, wedding season is once again upon us.

This article is interesting. Especially the Flower and Garter toss.

Something Borrowed, Something Blue Had a "Worst Wedding of All Time" flashback today. There was a church, no toilets, a too small wedding dress, an M.I.A. dressmaker who had the bridesmaids dresses, a minister with two broken legs and a groomsman who was the soloist/barber/caterer. What a diff 8 years makes!

Something Borrowed, Something Blue Know what I hate more than a buffet at an event? A buffet where people serve you. HATE IT. Makes me feel like I'm at a cafeteria in elementary school. I can get my own celery sticks, thank you. Please don't do this at your wedding. Please?

Went to an event recently where they served me the crudite! I can't pick the broccoli florettes that I want??? This makes me a very sad wedding planner. Perhaps this is why I only get invited to the events I plan.

On the season finale of "Entourage," one of the characters, Eric, proposes to his girlfriend, Sloan, only it wasn't a romantic get-down-on-one-knee proposal, so much as it was a seemingly spur-of-the-moment declaration of his commitment to her.

If you watch the series, it was actually pretty romantic if you know the characters and the history of the romance. I thought it was fitting for the characters and the ongoing story-line. Of course, I find romance in some fairly odd places, so perhaps my opinion is misguided...

Something Borrowed, Something Blue I wonder if ALL wedding planners get calls from "brides" who aren't "technically" engaged yet, but are sure that it's coming sometime in the next 12 months. Maybe it's just me.

I get the calls from mothers of the bride who are absolutely SURE that their daughter will be getting engaged VERY VERY soon.

Something Borrowed, Something Blue Good news: The owner of Something Borrowed, Something Blue made it through this past wedding without seeing a single, white cocktail napkin. It's my wedding equivalent to wire hangers. (Cue Mommy Dearest.)

Something Borrowed, Something Blue Successful wedding this weekend! Perhaps Jewish meets African-American with a touch of Moroccan, a smidge of French and a dash of Southern will be the new wedding trend of 2010...
