In an era of so many so-called “super heroes” on television, at the movies or on the internet, you get a distorted picture of what heroism really is. ...

The federal response to the H1N1 flu pandemic has been botched. And the health of Canadians has been jeopardized as a consequence. The confusion and worry across the country are reflected almost every night on national television newscasts...

yes, and we were also given false assurances that there would be ENOUGH vaccine for EVERYONE to receive one... clearly there is not !!! Perhaps in December when the flu will already have affected those it's going to affect. Yes, we'll all get vaccinated AFTER the fact.... How stupid Harper....

It’s bad enough that Stephen Harper plunged Canada back into deficit again, BEFORE there was any recession. It’s even worse that Conservative behaviour during the recession has been constantly tainted by ethical violations. ...

The Harper government passed an embarrassing milestone last week. After months of denial, the Conservatives finally had to release the audited financial statements of the Government of Canada for last fiscal year (2008/09)...

For months on end, Canadians have been inundated with blatantly partisan advertising to primp the image of Stephen Harper’s Conservatives, and all at taxpayers’ expense. You cannot turn on your television without suffering an onslaught on this tedious and abusive propaganda. N...

The real questions are, what can be done about this? And has Mr. Ignatieff committed himself to making this practice illegal, if he were to form a government?

Through a string of minority Parliaments since 2004, Canada’s political parties have experienced some odd gyrations, putting them in rather unusual positions from time to time. But the most recent turmoil may actually bring things back to “normal”. T...

Thursday October 1st, 2009 Hon. Ralph Goodale (Wascana, Lib.): Madam Speaker, there are many reasons why we on this side of the House have lost confidence in the Conservative government. Some of those reasons were outlined earlier today in the speech by the Leader of the Opposition...

A “confidence vote” will be held within the next few days in the House of Commons. This is one of those periodic tests in our Parliamentary system to determine whether an incumbent minority government can continue. T...

Keep up the pressure!

However, for the good of the Liberal party, and in keeping with the primary goal of effectively re-building the Liberal brand and popularity in Canada, and successfully removing Harper from office, please help to get the Liberal caucus in order...

It's becoming tiresome to keep hear about the rifts and cohesion issues errupting over and over again within the party MPs. ... Read More

Stephen Harper wants you to believe he’s a tax cutter. He also wants you to believe he tells the truth. But on both counts, hard facts keep getting in his way. On the issue of truthfulness, remember the $800-million he promised to send Saskatchewan every year in extra equalization payments. ...

Everybody understands public weariness with election campaigns. There’s no “good time” to ask people to vote. It will always be inconvenient, especially during an unstable minority Parliament when the interval between elections is shorter. B...

$300 Million is a spec of sand in a bucket compared to the financial cost of this Harper government. And if it means spending that amount to make a change for the better and electing a government that "governs" for the MAJORITY of the Canadians rather than only a select few, then I believe it to be money well spent.

I'm sure Mr. Goodale can remind us all of the financial, political and international relations "cost" that Harper's narrow-mindedness has and continues to inflict on taxpayers and the country as a whole. Harper is by far the worst PM we have ever had.

Once again, short sighted and narrow minded thinking (such as, "It's not convenient for me to have an election right now", will not only retain the status quo, but ensure a perpetual "dumbing down" in our society - something that Harper is relying upon... Read More

REGINA, Sk., Sept. 7/09 – The election of a new federal Liberal government would guarantee that home-owners get the full tax credit they’re expecting on their home renovations this year, says Liberal House Leader Ralph Goodale. ...

Stephen Harper says he doesn’t want an election this October! That’s odd? Wasn’t it Stephen Harper himself who picked October of this year for a federal election? Yes, it was! Remember his “Fixed Election Date” law? He pushed it through Parliament about two years ago. He orde...

Last week, I described why the Harper government should correct the rules on who’s eligible for Employment Insurance (EI) benefits during the current recession. The existing rules impose different eligibility requirements in different parts of the country. ...

Jonathan you are wrong.... Leaving a job to move up is not the same as quitting a job to get UI ( I meant UI) Yet the rules see the word quit and you get lumped together. Forget c'est la vie,, it is c'est la Harper

All through the recession, the Liberal Opposition has been pushing the Harper government to fix the rules on who’s eligible for Employment Insurance (EI) benefits. The existing rules make EI harder to get in some parts of the country. ...

where's ignatieff? Harper's in the news almost everyday. Recent polls show's the tories are leading and I think it's because ignatieff is acting like a 'Where's Waldo'.
