We've been fans of the wonderful Rebecca Martin for well over a decade now, having first caught her in the mid 90's with Once Blue, the acclaimed Brooklyn jazz/folk band co-founded by Martin and Jesse Harris (writer of the Norah Jones classic "I Don't Know Why"). ...

Rebecca Martin A new recording is being made in December, 2009. Rebecca Martin and Larry Grenadier, live to two track with James Farber at the helm. A mix of original tunes and standards, tentatively titled "Twain". Look for a Spring release on Sunnyside Records.

Rebecca Martin Here's a blast from the past. Got the 'Once Blue' video up with the song 'Save Me' that features Jesse and I, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Ben Street and Bill Dobrow. Lots of good friends from that time in the video, too, that include Calista Flockhart, Richard Julian, Basya Schecter, Mary Lee Cortes - and a bunch more dancing away. Have fun watching!

Rebecca Martin Got a beautiful email today from classical pianist Gregg Kallor. He will be performing at Carnegie Hall on April 15th - and is including one of my songs 'To Prove Them Wrong' off of the Growing Season in his repertoire. http://www.greggkallor.com/site/
