2009 Unfinished Business
The end of the year is here and if your vehicle registration sticker says 12-09, it is time to renew! Renew your vehicle registration before January 1st and tie all the loose ends of 2009 before the new year...

I own 5 cars and keeping up with all of them is tough. Particularly when i do not get renewals in the mail some times. If my tags expire why can i not use the on line site to renew them? That's so stupid. I would be willing to pay a late fee.
Hell, i'll pay anything to keep out of the tax office!

Unfortunately, our online system cannot calculate late fees. But know that you can renew any of these vehicles online up to three months before expiration. You don't need the registration renewal notice. Renewing early does not change the expiration month of your sticker. Also, look for our new "When do you renew?" online ads because they have a feature that allows you to load your expiration dates into your Outlook calendar. Funny thing, just got my new personalized plates: TXDMV, sticker STILL says issued by TxDOT and exchange registration notice has TxDOT letterhead, aww the irony. You have a picture of TxDMV issued sticker, you'd think you'd recall the stock from the tax offices by now.

Kim I'm for putting texas in my corner, thats all I'm hearing. But nothing about how to do it. We just moved here and it seems like no one else knows either. Can anyone help me in here.

Yes! You can visit www.RegisteredTexan.com and click on "Are you registered?". Select "New to Texas" and it will tell you everything you need to know about registering your vehicle for the first time. You can also find information on how to renew in the years to follow. If you prefer to have a brochure in your hand, click on "Campaign Headquarters... See More" and select "Public Education Campaign" and you can download the official "Newcomer Brochure" to keep handy. If you will notice on the logo if REGISTERED TEXANS, you will notice a dark blue oval with Registered Texans on it. These are bumper stickers that are free at all license plate places and at special functions that the Registered Texan are represented at. They have two sizes of stickers.

Shawn..Look at stores that sell bumper stickers (truck stops, Loves etc. ) they sell a neat sticker that says "I'm not a NATIVE TEXAN but I got here as fast as I could!! Welcome to a wonderful place where everything is bigger and better!
