We at Little Mountain Recordings are delighted to announce the release of a brand new compilation series. Little Mountain Rocks gives LMR artists the opportunity to turn in a mix of new and upfront material for worldwide consumption. Little Mountain Rocks Volume 1 is the debut release and is compiled and mixed by top D...utch DJ/producer Rene Amesz.
About The Artist
Rene Amesz is an experienced and versatile producer based in the Netherlands who has had releases on Deep Records, Extrema, Houseworks, Lowriders, NuRepublic and Flamingo Recs. Rene is renowned for making cutting-edge house music with a deep edge and a certain Dutch funk. Rene is the perfect choice to kick off the Little Mountain Rocks series as he is no stranger to Little Mountain Recordings. Tracks such as "Back Into The Funk" first surfaced on the label in 2004, with a track entitled "Fragile" coming year later, followed swiftly by Rene´s collaboration with Peter Gelderblom on the worldwide smash "You Make Me (Climb The Wall)". Rene has two new singles slated for release on LMR, the first of which is entitled "Korona", and comes with original and Rene Amesz remix, due for release in November 2008, followed by a track called “Totally romantic”. As a DJ, this Flying Dutchman has circumnavigated the globe on deck duty many times, headlining gigs in North and South America, Asia, Australia, UK and rest of Europe on a regular basis.
About The Release
We are proud that Dutch DJ/producer Rene Amesz has agreed to kick off the Little Mountain Rocks series. Volume One is a compilation that contains two of Rene’s original productions and three of his remixes alongside exclusive tracks from renowned artists such as Patch Park, Paul Woolford, Andy Craze, Voltaeric and many more (see tracklistings below). The album is a collection of music that has been making dancefloors rock for Rene personally as a DJ. In addition to the mix CD, a vinyl sampler will be in store the following week. The physical album will hit the streets on 27 October 2008, with the vinyl and the digital album run a week later on 3 November 2008.
Little Mountain Rocks Tour
No record release would be complete without some top notch events to mark the occasion. With the wealth of talent signed to LMR this has not proved difficult! A support tour that will take the sounds of the album into the clubs kicks off on October 25th at top London club Ministry of Sound, with label founder and renowned international artist Sander Kleinenberg on the decks alongside Rene. The night is called This is™ London presents Little Mountain Rocks. The following night is the official release party, incidentally also the closing party of the Amsterdam Dance Event. This is™ presents Little Mountain Rocks @ Melkweg sees Rene Amesz and Sander Kleinenberg joined by Josh Gabriel, Deadmau5 (live), Muzikjunki, Patch Park and Matthew Dekay. A fantastic double-header weekend of parties that will see the release at the forefront the industry and club-going public’s conscious before its release on the Monday. Another support party will take place in the Netherlands at Studio 80 on Sunday 16 November 2008 before the show moves down under to Australia to promote the release in that particular territory early December. These events will be a fitting launch to the album.
