Since its inception in 1962, the festival and its sponsor, the University of Nevada, Reno, have hosted some of the finest jazz students, musicians and educators in the country. This year we’re going “brochure-less,” and inviting you to register your group and get all your festival information and updates for the 2009 Reno Jazz Festival directly online! Reno Jazz Festival at the University of Nevada, Reno The showcase concert performances are currently being edited and will be hosted by Pearl Drums Inc. We will post a link to them on the RJF website and on Facebook when they are available (in a few weeks).

CJ Walters The festival is over but the clean-up and posting of scores and winners information is starting.... We'll hopefully have everything up and finished by Wednesday, April 29. FYI - My total steps ended up being close to 38,000 and my feet are tired. I want to know why I didn't lose any weight during the process? Hmmmm, maybe it was those potato chips in the box lunches.

The festival is almost here — everything you need to attend is available on our website in either the Festival Tool Kit or the Festival Information for Parents and Visitors. This includes the competition and clinic schedules, maps,
CJ Walters Okay -- it is the Monday before the festival, 3:54 pm and I've already logged in 4,500 steps and over 2.5 miles. Whew, maybe I'll lose some weight this week.
CJ Walters The festival is coming up soon and the office is looking like a big storage room. T-shirts have arrived, the trophies are almost ready so we're off an running. If anybody has a few spare hours April 20-23 we can use help folding shirts and doing other prep work!
