The Reno-Tahoe Odyssey will put on a Running Shoe and Race Shirt Drive to benefit local kids being served through the Kids Kottages.
The Kids Kottages are a group of shelters where children from Washoe County are brought after they are removed from their families due to danger of abuse or neglect, or when no one else ...is available to care for them during parental hospitalization or incarceration. They are temporary homes that operate 24-hours a day, every day of the year. The kids range from one day old up to 18 years old.
The public is invited to drop off their moderately worn running shoes, short and long-sleeved race shirts and any other clothing that adults and their children no longer wear. Many of the kids in need are teenagers, so adult shoes and clothing fit well.
Benefitting Kids Kottages
Time:10:00AM Saturday, November 21st

The Reno-Tahoe Odyssey Relay We are happy to announce Intuit has returned as presenting sponsor of the 6th Annual RTO. Intuit treats this event as a large team building exercise by using RTO as an opportunity to gather their employees from around the country to get together and run. Last year Intuit had 60 runners with less than 10 from their Reno... office! Get your office involved and sign up for a team today!

The Reno-Tahoe Odyssey Relay Let us know if you're a five or six-time Reno-Tahoe Odyssey runner and/or volunteer when you register to receive special recognition.

The Reno-Tahoe Odyssey is a long wandering. A 178 mile Relay Run. Starting in Downtown Reno along the Truckee River. Traveling through the Sierra Nevada mountains and along the shores of Lake Tahoe. Circling back through the Northern Nevada high desert to where you began in Reno.

The Reno-Tahoe Odyssey Relay Are any of you looking to run a relay other than the RTO? How about American Odyssey Relay from Gettysburg to Washington D.C., or the Southern Odyssey in Georgia from Athens to Roswell?

The Reno-Tahoe Odyssey Relay Each year, hundreds of volunteers come out to help make events like the Reno-Tahoe Odyssey happen. A special thanks and thoughts of appreciation go out to all of the volunteers who have helped with the RTO - especially those who work what we like to call the Vampire Shifts, AKA manning the exchange points in the middle... of the night and early hours of the morning. Thank you all!

The Reno-Tahoe Odyssey Relay The 2009 overall RTO champions, team Battle Born from Reno, set a new course record of 17 hours, 57 minutes and 32 seconds. They trimmed almost a full six minutes from their 2008 record and averaged roughly six-minute miles! Will your team break their record in 2010?
