Renombrada activista a favor de los derechos humanos en comunidades indígenas en todo el mundo, habló con la WACC sobre los derechos humanos de dichos pueblos y de su derecho a la comunicación. Señaló que entre los pueblos indígenas hay valores importantísimos y temáticas que no encuentran resonancia. “Tengo la impresión que se trata de una comunicación unidireccional. Hablo por los pueblos indígenas alrededor del mundo; necesitamos que nuestras historias sean escuchadas.”

Doreen Spence, a renowned campaigner for human rights in aboriginal communities worldwide, spoke with WACC about the human and communication rights of indigenous people. She observed that there are key values and issues of indigenous people that are never heard. “It seems to me to be a one-way-communication. I speak for indigenous people around the globe; we need our stories to be heard.” She asserted that communication is an inherent, God-given right to all people.
