by Kevin Thomas I had a heart to heart with my bedroom floor, a stable and constant companion in these turbulent times. These are the encouraging words it gave me: get up and live a life worth living! This is its story.... [more]

Great interview with Jay. I love to see his Faith in his courage to take a stand because he knew it was what God wanted. Great example!

This post is from our friend Caryn Solly. We recently had a lovely lunch together, and had a wonderful discussion about her journey, my journey, faith and the absence of faith. I asked if she would share some of her thoughts. Here they are….

Great post. I'm pretty solidly agnostic (let's say a hopeful agnostic) who has had some REALLY bad experiences in church in the past...but I'd go to Revolution if I were in NYC.

Wonderful post--pretty much describes my "life" experiences with religion. I wish there were a Revolution here in Wisconsin. If I ever get to NYC I will be stopping by for a visit!!!

Revolution NYC Today, Jay flips the script with a question for you instead... does how somebody disagrees with you and who that person is make an impact on what they have to say? Or is it only the message that matters?

Yes, I have to agree that I feel like "turning off" when people openly, vicously rebuke me and my beliefs. However, I AM learning that "a soft answer turns away wrath." Maybe not THEIR wrath, but certainly my OWN. I have to be true to MY BELIEFS REGARDLESS of those who chose to judge and criticize continually. Thank you for standing up, standing out and even getting STOMPED on for the sake of GRACE!

I like what you have said it seems like a hard thing not to do sometime loving others as Christ loves the church. and loving your nabor as are self. Even in this personal problem of mine God's grace come thru. I like to say Jay and I sure have said it before . " Learning to love God right were were at if we can do that everything will fit where it needs to".

I believe it does affect what a person has to say. Lets say I make a comment at my school, and someone hears it and starts yelling and cussing at me trying to prove not only their point; but how my point is wrong. I'm most likely not going to listen to anything they have to say. Now, if that same person would have sat down at our table and ... Read Morecalmly and in love and friendship had a conversation with me and we debated about the comment I would totally listen to them!

IT's all about how you do it. It's the same in the church, if I bring up a "hot Topic issue" and someone gets angry at me out of fear of the topic or irrate or something like that...i'm not going to listen to them. But if we go eat together or sit as brothers and sisters in christ and really talk to each other I will totally listen..

I love what you said about transparency- I spent so long faking it, but freedom comes through being real. We're as sick as our secrets...

put this on twitter already, but this Q&A was so encouraging!! I've been blessed by people 'trusting God' with me and my convictions and that being said by Jay really helps.
