Richmond Braves National Baseball The class of 2010 set a new standard for achievement today as twenty-one Braves scholarship winners signed to play Division I baseball. The aggregate value of the awards is more than $1,000,000 over four years of college. Fourteen different schools in eight different conferences including the ACC, SEC, Big 12 and Ivy L...eague were represented. Congratulations and best wishes to the Braves 2010 grads!

Tim Melville (RBN '08, Kansas Royals) will make his minor league pitching debut on Wed May 20 with the Royals single A team, the Burlington Iowa Bees.
Tim will be on a five day rotation - The Bees do a nice job of game write-ups on their website and usually list the next game starter.

He pitched 7 2/3 innings. allowing just 3 hits and striking out twelve batters. This was his second consecutive start against ACC competition. In his first outing he held Georgia Tech scoreless for 6 innings.
