
Virginia Medical Reserve Corps The Three Rivers MRC unit supported a seasonal flu DRIVE-THRU vaccination clinic this weekend. They assisted in vaccinating a total of 800 community members in under 2.5 hours in Mathews and Montross. Great Job Three Rivers!

Virginia Medical Reserve Corps Marie Harrell, Peninsula MRC volunteer, wore an H1N1 tissue box and entertained people waiting in line for their H1N1 flu shot at Grafton High School, Tuesday night, November 10th. 1,298 vaccinations were given between 4 pm and 8 pm.

Virginia Medical Reserve Corps 14 new recruits from New Horizons Regional Education Center/Woodside Lane, Newport News Campus joined the ranks of the Peninsula Medical Reserve Corps. They spent time volunteering to inventory and stock the vaccination supply boxes for community H1N1 clinics.

Virginia Medical Reserve Corps 106 community members registered to become VA MRC volunteers this week! So far, we’ve received 457 applications this month. Maybe we will hit an all time recruitment record of 500. Thank you to everyone for all their hard work and dedication.

The Eastern Shore MRC Kicked off it's Fall Flu Campaign this past weekend. Jo Chaddic, Retired Nurse Practitioner & MRC volunteer, as well as other volunteers, distributed flu preparedness brochures, anti-viral Kleenex, and thermometers, as well as recruitment materials, to their congregation at Bethel Church on Sunda...y, October 18. The Eastern Shore MRC unit received free anti-viral Kleenex from Kimberly-Clark and free thermometers from NexTemp, which we have been distributing throughout our community. Their Fall Flu Campaign's goal is to reach as many residents of the Eastern Shore as possible and provide them with flu information.Read More
