Renee--I use a powder shampoo when I travel. I too have longer, oily hair...I wash my hair one day, get by the next (maybe pull it back) then use powder shampoo the next two days. Sounds yucky, but by the 4th day, my hair looks the best. I use a expensive powder shampoo I found online, but so worth it.

Jonathan, I have never heard of solid shampoo so thanks for the tip! Im going to check it out!

Dale, thanks for the tip about the shower gel! I dont even know that I could pack enough shampoo in the quart size bag to last me two weeks if all I stuck in the bag was shampoo. I wash my hair, rinse, then rewash. The shower gel could make my shampoo last longer though.

Gina, whats the name of the powder shampoo you use?

As we prepare to host our tour guides in early January, I was thinking about how deeply rooted our tour program's passion for teaching culture is. It actually goes back to the only other job I've ever had...piano teacher...

Rick Steves Rick and his staff at Europe at the Back Door know how to celebrate Christmas. With tasty food, dancing, and a magician, our 2009 party was great! But it also brought back memories of this ETBD Christmas Party moment caught on tape in 2005.

Here at ETBD, we enjoy putting on a fundraiser each Christmas. I always feel like there are gimmicky "buy this, and we'll give hungry people a can of food" initiatives that are really marketing ploys that do little serious awareness- or fund-raising...
