Ritchie YELLOW JACKET 7. Cover the pump exhaust to prevent moisture from entering the pump. 8. Examine your vacuum pump for external parts that may need replacing, such as intake fittings, leg assemblies, etc. Your pump now has a clean bill of health and is ready to take a well-deserved winter break! Enjoy the snow!

Ritchie YELLOW JACKET 4. Drain the oil and replace the drain plug. Turn pump on for 3 to 4 seconds and then off for 3 to 4 seconds – two times. This helps to drain the last of the oil from the inside of the pump cartridge. 5. Refill the pump with fresh YELLOW JACKET® vacuum pump oil. 6. Using a mild degreaser, clean the exterior of the pump.... Clean, well maintained tools are the true mark of a professional!

Ritchie YELLOW JACKET 1. Check and maintain or replace the following parts as necessary: O-rings inside the intake fitting caps, gas ballast and oil drain. 2. Drain oil from the reservoir. 3. Fill the pump with clean vacuum pump oil. Secure intake caps, close gas ballast and blank-off valve. Run pump on the bench for 1/2 hour to ensure the oil is very warm.Turn off the pump.

Tom Gagne on your solar gauges have you ever thought about putting a battery for back up? I have a set but the high side takes a lot of light to work don't get me wrong I like them.

Tom, thanks for considering YELLOW JACKET products. During the design of the solar gauges, we did consider a battery back up. The primary reason we decided against it was that we wanted a totally “green” gauge. The use of a battery would mean the proper disposal along with instructions. We are currently working with the solar panel manufacturer to lower the amount of light necessary to power them. Please check back with us for updates. Thanks!
