Dawn Bell I'm so excited that we will be showing the film in Monte Rio -- the heart of the Russian River and the place Bill Schaadt called home for a time. July 27th at the Monte Rio Community Center. Visit www.mrrpd.org for details.

Rivers of a Lost Coast Napa showing went great with about 230 people in attendance. Thanks to the Napa County Resource Conservation District for making it happen!

Rivers of a Lost Coast Another great showing in the Eureka area, we had close to 300 people total show up at the showings. Next on the list is Napa on Saturday the 27th of June. It looks like it's going to be a great showing and a very nice event with many local groups and lots of refreshments. It's our first outdoor showing, just in time for the nice summer nights.

Raquel Just returned from the Fortuna showing. I loved it. I hung on every word of every bit of information. I so enjoyed listening and learning from all the wonderful people that shared their knowledge and stories. Excellent editing and even the music was great. Thanks you guys for putting it together and sharing it. Now we all need to move forward to help restore this natural disappearing resource......... We bought our first 12 foot Valco from Nelson Rossig in 1998... Palmer: is Ben your father?
Rivers of a Lost Coast at 11:17am June 24
We glad you enjoyed it Raquel, and we would love to spread this and help get the word out to preserve and restore our resources.
P.S. Ben Taylor has no relation to the film makers, simply a dear friend.

We'll be in Fortuna tonight. If you get a chance, look for my dad, Mike Foster, who knew many of the old Russian River fisherman. He has equipment that belonged to Virgil Sullivan.

Michael Yezbick are there any showings planned for santa fe, nm?
Rob at 11:31am May 31
or even Albuquerque.... I have to see this. My Mom sent me the review and saw it in Santa Rosa. My Grandfather Ivan Krestensen (Boppy to us) has to be in the footage, as he spent every fall at the piling hole on the Smith River in hs boat lined up with the others, almost every day...all day flinging his homemade orange comets off of a shooting ... Read Morehead. I still have his homemade Lamiglass rods with the fighting butts, and his reels with the original shooting heads still attached. His home smoked salmon was legendary. He taught to fly fish at 8, and I joined him on the Eel, Mad, and Smith rivers whenever I could. I remember vividly his sadness when the fish went away for good in the 70's....I will post some pics of his with the fish he caught at the piling hole during that time...he cherished the times he got into fish.
Rob at 11:34am May 31
one more thing...I don't know if this is in the movie, but when a lucky guy got into a fish, the others would reel in, the guy would pull his anchor, and let the fish tow him around until it got tired then landed....the lucky guy would usually have a huge smile, and all the others would tip their caps...it was a sight to behold and I am blessed to have witnessed it.
