Sorry for the season of silence. Busyness and some sickness has kept me busy. I'm doing to do my best to blog about the divorce questions we have discussed. In the meantime, we are almost done with our STEPPING OUTSIDE THE BOX series in which we have walked through Jesus' Sermon On The Mount...

Riverwalk Community Church Awesome time at the "grills and thrills" tonight. Loved giving out candy, hotdogs, popcorn, drinks, etc. And Jesus said love your neighbor as yourself. :)

Riverwalk Community Church We (Gary & Angela) love to pray for our neighbors! If you have a prayer need please let us know and will pray for your request.

Riverwalk Community Church You're invited to our 4th annual 'GRILLS & THRILLS" this Saturday night from 6:30 p.m.-???. Hotdogs, candy, The Great Pumpkin with Linus, and lots of fun!

As I start to write a series of blogs about divorce let me say a few first things. First, in the beginning, there was no divorce. God made man and woman in his image and put them together in a covenant relationship...

Since the opening day of our church I have never received more emails than I have since we have talked about divorce. There are so many people today who have experienced divorce in multiple ways. Either their parents divorced, they have divorced, or they are considering divorce...

Riverwalk Community Church "Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!" Psalm 137:14 (NLT). See, you're supposed to be complicated!! :)

There's a great story in Lukechapter 8about a man Jesus healed. The man was demon possessed, he ran around naked, and lived in a cemetary. His life was extra creepy! At times he would be restrained only to break the chains and go back to his wild way of living. People were quiet scared of him...

"I can look but not touch." "Just because I can't order doesn't mean I can't look at the menu." "I'm married but I'm not dead!" Have you heard people say these comments as they openly stare at a person passing by? The comments sound understandable, after all it's JUST LUST...

This past Sunday we talked about "anger management" and what Jesus said about anger in his Sermon On The Mount. If you struggle with anger, there is one verse that could help you greatly. My dear brothers and sisters, be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry...

As a kid I loved the annual track meet at my school. It was a day for kids (like me) who were not athletes to run races and actually win ribbons. As we would line up a teacher would stand on the starting line say, "Ready, Set, Go". And somehow we have taken those words and made them a way of life...

In the multitudes of toys that fill up our home, one of them is my favorite. The Jack-In-The-Box. It's an old fashioned clown that comes popping out after you crank out a "pop goes the weasel tune." The reason I love the Jack-In-The-Box is because of the reactions my sons have to it...

Jesus said in his Sermon On The Mount that we are to be "salt" and "light" in the corner of the world we live in. I believe the "beatitudes" (Matthew 5) describe how we are to "be" salt and light...

So, our family took a little Labor Day vacation to Kansas City. We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge which I highly recommend to your family. (I don't any money for saying that!) The lodge includes a 30,000 square foot water park and several other fun things...
