Friends of Roanoke Public Library Start reading now for the upcoming meeting of the Banned Book Club! We'll be discussing Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, which was also made into a film. Dec. 8th, 6pm, study room on the top floor of Brown Library (VA Western Comm College). Open to the public.

Friends of Roanoke Public Library Virginia Western's Brown Library is the proud recipient of a new permanent art collection! Courtesy of the ART 132 class, the grouping consists of 16 recycled book sculptures. The transformed books include everything from a cupcake sitting tantalizingly atop a sociology textbook to one that’s been completely changed into the bust of a horse.
