Hi Robert
Please ignore my request on LinkedIn for a link to listen to your music - I found one here, and spent a pleasant hour in the kitchen cooking to your songs. I love the artwork for your album covers, too (esp 13 stories)!

hey john,,,
hmmm... i have a little ptsd growing up with bad blues in long beach but yeah it is an influence, just not one ive followed chordally much. I guess i like surprises and the blues structure doesnt do much on that end but it does force the melodic and that is always something im looking to be surprised by. All my friends... that was fun eh? Thanks for recording that with me.

hey robert,
congrats on the gig.
i also enjoyed our conversations this week about songwriting and such.
i have a challenge for you. i think you need to revisit the blues. certainly some circumstances will allow it to flow from you.
i think 90% of what i write is blues-based. that is where the primal call of the songs co...mes from.
i sense the blues in your stuff, as well, but it is a refined version. not since "all my friends..." era deeble have you been immersed.
whatever you decide, i'm always excited to hear what you are up to. and i, too, am eager to hear the sunflower song (at least YOUR sunflower song).
all the best,
