From Speak Kindly Of Your Volunteer Fire Department, this live version is actually better than the original recorded one. Performed in Warsaw, Brooklyn in 2002.

Richard Smiley

Richard Smiley you've no idea how happy it makes me that "there are other worlds" is a part of suitcase 3. it's such a shame that it was never released on a soundtrack for the united states of leland. one of the greatest tunes you've ever written and recorded. and a studio version of "a kind of love". YES. a belated happy birthday and much thanks!

"Clinton from London, Ontario, Canada: What is the best Circus Devils album to start with?

- MOTHER SKINNY (2010) D + A : Loud and invasive meditations on childhood and war. For seasoned kickers and screamers.
- GRINGO (2009) A : The most accessible and sober circus devils album. A good preperation for the more challen...ging material on the previous albums.
- ATAXIA (2008) D: Manic and dark. Probably not the best introduction. But a good second pick.
- Sgt. DISCO (2007) D + A : Probably the best introduction to circus devils. Represents many of the musical veins traversed by the previous four albums. Chock full of listening adventure.
- FIVE (2005) D : People tell us that we made this record but we don't remember.
- PINBALL MARS (2004) D : Gut level rock and lullabies sung in half-sleep. Full of characters and danger and good fun.
- The HAROLD PIG MEMORIAL (2002) A : Measured and sober, punctuated by bursts of manic energy. A full-fledged concept album. For serious listeners.
- RINGWORM INTERIORS (2001) DD : This album represents circus devils as a primordial creature climbing out of the muck and toward the light, and then back into the muck. Not the best introduction. But rewarding for those who enjoy a jarring ride."

Dear Gregor: All circus devils albums contain messages in registers above the human threshold of hearing aimed at different animal species, including dogs. Your dog listens carefully because she is receiving instruction. ...
