After the last show at The Fine Line, Robinson was engaged in a battle of epic proportions with the forces of boredom. They presented themselves in physical form as a living, breathing infomercial, a box of unsweetened breakfast cereal, and Elizabeth Dole.
In order to defeat a force of this magnitude, Robinson recrui...ted two of the finest armies of soul power north of the Mason-Dixon Line: The Capitol City Soul Tones and Hip Replacement.
Needless to say, the forces of boredom were decimated.
They take their victory lap on August 13 at Lee's Liquor Lounge. Here are the details:

After the last show at the Fine Line, Robinson Caruso was contacted by President Barack Obama to take part in talks that would yield a new health care plan. In the days following the concert, every audience member in attendance had cancelled planned doctor appointments, reporting that they were "healed by sweet soul m...usic."
After heated negotiations regarding the amount of James Carr and Millie Jackson that would be federally mandated as part of every health care package and whether 634-5789 could be used as the universal hotline for when patients "need a little huggin'," the RCO is proud to announce that government work is not for them.
Instead, they'll be playing their first Friday night gig at the Fine Line on July 17, 2009.
