Town Hall Meetings are one way for our center to promote partnership between an Academic Health Center (NCDHR at University of Rochester) and the community (ASL Deaf Community). NCDHR has had several Town Hall Meetings to share research findings (Deaf Health Survey), grant proposals, news, programs, plans and much more....... Our 2nd 5-year grant (an intervention research called Deaf Weight Wise Project –- to see if our proposed intervention is effective in reducing weight gain and obesity in Deaf persons) was developed from input received from past Town Hall Meetings.
Our next Town Hall Meetings is Thursday, December 3 at Rochester School for the Deaf (See enclosed flyer). All is welcome!
