The Arc of Monroe County Way to go Arc! We would like to thank our approximately 94 volunteers at The Arc of Monroe (this includes staff and the individuals we serve), for “stepping up to the plate” this year to help support The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign. Watch for us on Tuesdays beginning on November 17th and going through December 22nd at The Marketplace Mall. Thanks everyone!

The formal “A Night under the Stars” that the Gates Chili Peer Leaders put on for our individuals last night was a huge success. We had 62 individuals attend and everyone had a wonderful time dancing the night away. They did a great job decorating the gym with balloons, streamers and even had a picture wall so people... could have their individual photos taken and have a memory of the event. They also made corsages and boutonnieres for everyone. The 7 young ladies who organized this formal appear below. These 7 young ladies were touched by our individuals and are very interested in partnering with us again. We made a great connection!Read More

Dream It, Do It is a “wish-granting” program established by The Arc Foundation of Monroe, designed to encourage all individuals with disabilities residing within the Monroe County community to think beyond their daily experiences and to dream beyond their expectations.
The Arc of Monroe County The Arc has wond the Golden Recognition in the Mar Com Awards for the radio spot for Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month! This radio spot already won the Hermes International Award earlier this year. This commercial was submitted by our friends that produced the spot at Commercial Success. One of the highest honors in a field of over 5,000 entrants. Congratulations!
