Friends of Camp Overton Ladies who will be attending the WCG Prayer Retreat: Please bring a pillow and beach towel to the 7:00 p.m. Friday session. We will be de-stressing as part of our "Be still and know that I am God" theme. Pass the word. Registration starts at 5:00 p.m. Friday; Saturday sessions end with a light lunch at noon.

Camp has made lots of improvements over the years and a special thank you to all the people who have worked so hard over the years to make it a "special" place for God's people to gather together.

We had our 60th Celebration with a theme: "Stones of Remembrance" GREAT attendance, GREAT children and youth attendance, GREAT Missionary speakers, GREAT worship, GREAT preaching and GREAT altar services, and GREAT food...

I have plenty of great memories of camp, and have come to know some of the best people anyone could have ever meet and I am proud to call them my friends. All thanks to Camp Overton. I grew up at camp but who would have thought that I would have met my wife at camp. We started dating at camp, I asked her to marry me at... Camp and we spent our anniversaries at camp. I am happy to say that we have been married for 9 yrs this July and we have two great children. I love this place and owe alot to Camp Overton. I love the feeling I get as soon as I step foot on the grounds... This is truely God's Country. Maybe not a "favorite" memory but I really laugh at it now. Camp Overton is where I preached my first sermon. I spent three months preparing for it and then it was over in five minutes. I sweat like crazy and stretched it to twelve minutes and even I was bored. I had taped it and afterwards I through the tape in the ri...ver.
