My name is Faye O'Leary and I'm an M.Phil student in Popular Literature in Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. I'm writing a dissertation on the romantic suspense genre, particularly about the RITA award winners in that category for the last ten years (see link below).
I'm curious about what people think makes a book a romantic suspense novel. Any help is much appreciated!

The Suspense Category was introduced in 1989. The Suspense Category was renamed Romantic Suspense in 1990. As with all the other RITA® categories, in 2004, "Best" was added to the category name.
