VOCAB FOR THE VERBOSE: Play along with us!
WSW directors Ann & Tana have recently traveled to Germany to tour with WSW’s book collection at a series of lectures from Darmstadt to Berlin. While abroad, Ann & Tana also began work on The Binary Code Project, with the use of presses and type from The Haus Fur Industriekultu...r, part of the Hessisches Landesmuseum. In a blend of old and new technologies, the project documents big words in all their visual glory while also documenting the binary code counterpart to these big words, as well as the suspected definitions offered by bystanders, verbose and succinct alike.
We were merely acquainted with some words, some we were intimate with, others were total strangers! What does the word of the week mean to you?

What does the word of the week mean to you?
A bunch of us have been collecting walnuts this fall- they seem to be everywhere here. We have talked about making dye for cloth, pigment for paper, ink for drawing and how it might be possible to make oil based ink for printing. Has anyone had any experience with using black walnuts...
