A few wine suggestions perhaps you might consider:
Hahn Cabernet was always a staple at Redcoat. A good stable wine, and reasonably priced.
Mondavi wines (Merlot, Cabernet) are always a good.
Mirassou Pinot Noir
Mark West Pinot Noir
Bogle Cabernet
Annabella Cabernet/Merlot

Quick post from an AVID fan of Redcoat.
2 things:
1-->Often I request a side of broccoli only (sometimes you have it sometimes not) when I do get it...it is hands down the best broccoli ever!! Veggie lovers...you'll love it. Is that something you can include as a regular menu item?
2-->We go often to the Woodward location... and I spend a lot of $ on wine!! We have noticed the change in the wine list and frankly all of us wine-drinkers are disappointed. You have all obscure wines that are a bit overpriced! I myself don't mind trying new bottles but most times I like to stick to the moderately priced favorites.

Veronica Gangnier I worked there many times! Is Mr Browns "Butt Dent" still on the wood wall at the right of the servers pickup area at the bar? He fired me sooo many times, but Mrs. was always so kind to take my lil butt back! I remember when Mark was a little boy!Those stupid white boots! HAHAHAA!!! Our uniforms still remind me of Wo...nder Woman, I had red rufflely butt panties under mine, since the hems were just short enough to have a good peek when cleaning and serving our tables, made ALOT of money there and I still love those burgers and the best clam chowder in the world! I miss the statues at the front door, they were my buddies! The cook and I drank alot of Bloody Marys and ate alot of Valium while we were working in order to be able to tolerate Mr Brown. May he rest in peace! (Mr. Brown)

Todd has anyone been able to perfect the sauce from the cajun beef tips? I've tried in vain to replicate that as well as the dressing for the Tavern Salad....to no avail..
