RJ put on a spectacular show with Jimi Lee (who is a super talent himself). I think Jimi was in awe of her. Several times he looked at her and said something like, "Are you sure you're only 14 years old?"

Come see Ruby Jane Sunday at Gruene Hall. She's been drawing such big crowds for her Sunday afternoon shows the last time she played there they finally moved her from that little front bar area to the back dance hall area, and that ended up being full.

She sure did. She always does that at Gruene Hall. I told her someone in the crowd had requested "Faded Love", and he had told me his name was "The Head Sot". I had to explain to her what a "sot" was (hey, she is only 14). She did the request (beautifully, as always) and said it was for "The Head Sot", and I noticed he and all his friends gave out ... Read Morea big cheer. And how about her band- Jeremy Wheelis and Greg Harkins (hope I spelled the names right), the two guitarists, weren't even her regular guitar players, they're with the Marshall Ford Swing Band, but they played superbly. And of course Ron Erwin on drums and David Carroll on bass were great as always. Just another routine spectacular show, like the RJ Band always puts on.
