- The series was first launched in 1983 as a part of the Barbados Tourism Authority’s sports tourism thrust. Now known as the POWERADE RUN BARBADOS SERIES, it has evolved from just two races to three action-packed days of family fun!

Run Barbados 7K RACE CANCELLED The Barbados Tourism Authority (BTA) wishes to advise distance runners and fans of the sports that the 7K race, which was scheduled to take place on Sunday November 8, 2009 has been cancelled. The BTA regrets any inconvenience caused and looks forward to your continued support during the Powerade Run Barbados Series, which will take place from December 4 – 6, 2009.
