Run for the Fallen Just finished my run, and now I must raise my glass. To them that's here, to them that's gone, to them we'll see again... Thank you to Brad Schneier for organizing the run in Baghdad, and to all those who ran.

Run for the Fallen The run in Baghdad has officially broken 800 pre-registered runners! Best wishes to everyone on their shadow runs tonight!

Run for the Fallen Today is Veteran's Day. We at Run for the Fallen wanted to thank all Veterans for their service. You continue to amaze and astonish us with your service and sacrifice. From our grandfathers who served in WWII and Korea, to our friends and family who are now in harm's way (some of whom are on their third+ tour in Iraq or Afghanistan), we humbly offer our respect and appreciation, "thank you."

Run for the Fallen Brad from Baghdad writes: Greetings from Iraq! The preregistration numbers have been steadily growing and we have broken through 700! We here have conducted interviews that may even be shown in the USA just before you all begin your shadow runs. We are honored by your sacrifice, and your commitment to military service members and their families, most especially the fallen and their families. WE WILL NEVER FORGET!

Great video on ESPN. "OTL: Walter Reed." The segment shows how kayaking and running helps disabled veterans on painful road to recovery.

Just received a note from SGM Schneier, the Veteran's Day 5k organizer for Baghdad. He writes, "Several hundred are registered to run. Everything is going well. I would like everyone to send me were they are going to be running so that I can publish how many are running with us. Thank you all." He is checking our Fac...ebook event page, but if you'd like to write, his address is: roughridr7 [at] yahoo [dot] comDevamı

Shadow run: What is it? Shadowing a run event means you run at the same time as the event participants, but from another location, and for most that means, from another time zone and country. For the Baghdad run, anyone wishing to Shadow Run may lace up and run at 8pm on Nov. 13th, 2009 (PST). For those on the East ...coast, it's 11pm. At this time, you will be simultaneously running alongside troops in Baghdad.Devamı
