It is because of these important events in history that we have decided to create a game to honour the marvellous clay. The My...stics are made of clay. The bases are made of clay. In the right hands, clay can make just about anything. Are those hands yours? Can you make a hatchet and a pickaxe out of clay? A harpoon and butterfly net? "Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work we go! We'll mine all night, we'll smith all day! We'll drink all the time; it's the Dwarvish way!" The song went on, rising deep out of the mines along with the faint whiff of sulphur and the much stronger stench of beer. The Dwarves were hard at work as usual, mining precious ores to s...mith into bars, which in turn could be made into a variety of different goods. Doing all this while under the influence of a vast amount of alcohol was impressive.
A question arises from this daily routine: Can a sober RuneVillager outmine and outsmith a drunken Dwarf?
Interested in participating? Read below carefully to learn how:
•November 8-November 14: Sign up! You can post here, or if you wish to remain secret and get a jump on your opponents, PM Jaron. We'll add you to a hidden list of participants.
•November 15-November 21: The contest begins! Sometime between November 14th and 15th, we'll record the starting experience of every player in both Mining and Smithing. At the end of the week, the person who has gained the most experience in each respective skill will be declared the winner. This means there will be separate Mining and Smithing champions, so if you want to participate, it would probably be a good idea to go 100% at one of them and forfeit any chance of winning the other. The winners will (obviously) go up on the leaderboard below, as well as win 100k from the RVET and prizes from Jagex!
•November 22: Winners announced!
